Thermal water

Thermal water

Thermal waters containing active biochemical ingredients hold an important position among therapeutic waters. Beneficial effects of thermal water have been known for centuries. The ancient Romans took pleasure in thermal baths – relished their therapeutic and nourishing properties. Nowadays, thermal spas are places, where the symptoms of many different complaints, such as: circulatory problems of the heart and blood vessels, air passage diseases and joint pains may be alleviated. Pure thermal water is used in various water treatments in balneotherapy. It can be used for baths, poultices, but also as an ingredient of preparations designed for sensitive skin care. Thermal water ingredients are in part deposited in the corneous layer of the epidermis and in part they penetrate to the deeper skin layers.

Often, it takes centuries before thermal water gets through to the earth's surface. During its passage through geological layers it is enriched with various trace elements and minerals. Their activity has a positive influence on the skin: e.g they support the immune system, stimulate cell regeneration and collagen synthesis, or prevent irritations. The beneficial influence of thermal water on the organism has been tested and proved by medical research.
